It's almost the same shape of the ZI body ! The case's original retaining screw will fall perfectly in the tripod mount of the ZI, keeping safely the camera in the case. And the bottom plate is made of leather covered metal, no worry about shockproof. You should note that there are several kind of Zenit SLR cases, and only the older ones have the retaining screw at left side, the later ones have it under the lens axe along with some protruding part of the bottom plate.
